Clark Moore has recently passed away at the age of 90.
As a church family, we are deeply saddened by the passing of our long-time member and brother in Christ, Clark Moore. While our hearts are heavy, we find our ultimate comfort in the unwavering promises of Scripture. We are reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 8:38-39, which assure us that neither death nor life, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. We rejoice in the certainty that Clark is now resting secure in that inseparable love.

Clark was a real gentle man, usually smiling, willing to help, an attentive listener, and compassionate person. The world needs a lot more Clark Moores.
Clark and Betty were faith-filled Christians; devoted and extremely generous members of VUCC, They supported the church and our various missions in many ways. My wife and I also took part in one of his excellent tours of Spanish Point. Being a docent there for many years was a work Clark took great pride in.
It was a pleasure meeting Clark during my time as a docent at Historic Spanish Point. His knowledge of the point's history and his wonderful wit truly made an impression. Such a kind man! ? #Docent #History #Wit
I am saddened to lose another longtime member of our Church family. Clark and Betty were my sponsors when I joined in 2004 and I have always enjoyed their friendship. Clark was always a kind and gentle man. May he rest in peace.
Joe LaDu’s “attentive listener” description of Clark is spot on. Clark sang tenor in the VUCC choir and listened closely to everything that was said about every piece of music. He was always eager to know more…a true lifelong learner. Bob and I enjoyed attending concerts with Clark and Betty. Clark Moore was a kind, interesting person who will be missed.
Clark was a passionate about music, Spanish Point, the Red Sox and family. He participated fully in life and faced the issues that life threw at him. I am proud to have known him.
I appreciate all these tributes to Clark. My only addiction is in remembering a time he told our men’s group how seriously in his youth he had considered going into the ministry. While he ultimately did not do so, he continued always to live his life as a faithful Christian, and always an active and committed church member. In his marriage and family, in his career, and in the ways he lived all aspects of his life, Clark followed Jesus and reflected the most important aspects of Christian ministry there can be.
I enjoyed our rides back/forth to Church just after Clark moved to The Windsor. He was a kind and gracious gentleman and I will miss him.
